  • With so many executions happening so often, and in such large numbers, clearly their citizens aren’t happy with that way of life. So I don’t understand why the U.N. or the world Court isn’t doing something about it. They want to interfere in everything else, but leave an entire culture to be tortured and murdered? That makes no sense to me. Also given the fact that the North Korean government’s been spoiling for a fight for decades? In my opinion, a government that devalues its citizens to that extent shouldn’t exist.

  • One of my Korean teachers actually escaped from NK. He told us that the only paved roads where in pyoyang. And when you live in one city, it is near impossible to move to another. If you live in a farming city, the only way to move is to walk or to be government escorted. In pyoyang, about half of the buildings (apartment buildings mostly) are empty. No one lives there, but the government wants you to believe people do. There is one church in North Korea. It is a Christian church and only foreigners are allowed in. When you enter or leave, they get patted down, like in an airport. In North Korea, athiesm is believed, but they believe in almost a holy trinity, kin jung il being the father, kin jung un being the son and him jung son being the holy spirit, so to speak. People worship them in their homes. Every house in as to have at least 1 picture of the leader and it has to be the biggest picture you own, and be put in the living room. The radio must be left on at all times, and there is only 1 tv station. My teacher was completely emotionless. He said he grew up without emotion in NK because if he didn’t he would be dead. He said in schools, they had a day once a week when you had to say something you don’t like about another person, or rat someone out for what they did. They mandate this because it make a people angry at each other, and eliminates trust, therefore eliminates a possibility for organizing. And it gives the government a way to see into daily life, and punish any crimes.

  • during the Korean War b-29s bombed every single Crossing. Anytime two roads intersect each other it was bombed and had Napalm dropped on it. The claim that 20% of North Korea’s populous was killed in bombing isn’t too far-fetched at all. and it’s one reason the population is so docile North Korea claims they’re protecting their citizens. They might be..

  • You did get #3 wrong. If you are in prison in the DPRK, then your immediate family is already with you. Their justice system has the three generation rule, so as a citizen if you get caught trying to cross over to China or criticise the regime (for example), your siblings, your parents, your grand parents and any children you have will be sent to prison. If you escape the country, you will live, but your family will suffer.

  • Apparently black denim is ok in the DPRK. Also’ I’m not sure if calling the DPRK “North Korea” is actually illegal or just very rude. I’ve seen people who visited on a TV show do it and their minders corrected them. The people ask if they were in trouble and the minders explained that they weren’t and that it was simply rude. In the same show the minders dank alcohol with the tourists and sang a song about bean paste. The song as far as I could tell did not glorify the country or its government.

  • you need to get your facts right before making these articles i do enjoy perusal quite a few of your articles but this one almost all the things that you have said that the punishment is death is not accurate because most of the things that you have said that the punishment is death is not right at all most of the punishments will get you sent to do hard labor for 5 -20 years and one thing you might find interesting is that if you get convicted for anything even little crimes if you are convicted over 7 things you will be sent to hard labor camps for 15-20 years even for things that would be classed as a misdemeanor in the west.

  • Astagfar what is this I am very lucky that I am born in Pakistan No one tells me what to do yes there are some rules but they are not made by government what our parents made them what the hell is north Koreans are doing I thought I will visit north Korea but about bowing in front of statue of a human I refuse this law because I only bow in front of Allah I am a Muslim and I strictly follow islam

  • Express your rights don’t let people put this simplified mindset that the flag only belongs to the military, if we want to be technical throughout history it was always more respectful to kneel for those who lost their lives and also to commemorate what we all stand for. Don’t be ignorant there’s no stopping the fact that we’re all human the scary thing is that we’re to ignorant to see this man who they say we put into office even though he lost the general vote. Has the nuke codes plus hasn’t served terms in office like is required. All I’m saying is impeach him together and let’s find a true leader wether they be Democrat or Republican. #KNEEL FOR THE ANTHEM STAND FOR YOUR RIGHTS
