In this English lesson, Maeve Maddox explains the difference between errands and chores. Errands are short trips taken to perform tasks, such as getting the mail, while chores are small tasks that are done around the house to keep life organized and clean. Both are essential for maintaining a clean and organized home.
Chores are routine tasks that are done around the house, such as washing dishes, mopping floors, and doing laundry. On the other hand, errands are typically things done outside the home, such as paying bills, doing groceries, or picking up packages. Examples of errands include taking clothes from cleaners, taking mail to the post office, filling the car with fuel, and taking sacks of leaves.
Incorporating “run errands” into your daily vocabulary helps you sound fluent in English. Both chores and errands are part of everyone’s daily life and can be used in your vocabulary every day.

Errands can be done after work, such as cleaning up or grocery shopping. They leave weekends open for other activities, helping you accomplish something.

I will watch your article tomorrow because I am a bit more tired and need a bit of rest. This week I just changed jobs and it was hard to keep up with the new tasks. I have to keep track of a lot of things and be more organized. Today was my third day and it was much better than the first two because of organization. However next week I’ll get new tasks and have to keep up my present duties. I have to take an exam next week, too. I should keep my knowledge up to date. My life became more complicated but I hope I can keep up with everything.

Do you recycle inside your home? Because in Spain, on the streets, there are different bins to throw in the different kind of garbage: the plastic containers one, the bottles and glass one, the papers one, the organic material one. This way we don’t mix the different kinds of trash then to recycle them becomes easier
Hello teacher Bob, my question is too long to be asked in your livestream, so have to ask it here. When you say drop somebody or something off at a place, does that mean you will leave that place? Can I say “I will drop my car off at the dealer store and then I will wait in the store until the services are done”? Thank you very much!
I pay my bills through online bank service. Most of all bills such as housing service,, power, cell phone service, city public transport, etc are paid by me through Internet in personal online bank parlour. In my city, in Saint-Petersburg, is implemented the system that resembles “Octopus-card” system that is used in Hong Kong. I hate a new mayer of my city because he has raised taxes into two times and raised the fee for using the public city transport including subway) to almost 30%. Thus Saint-Petersburg becomes very very expensive city.
