For years I worked at an employment agency and received training on interviewing people. I learnt that one of the first questions an unprepared interviewer will ask is “tell me about yourself.” As the years passed, whenever I interviewed for a job, two things happened when someone started an interview with that question, I inwardly cringed and then felt secure in the knowledge that I was more prepared than this person. I also asked myself do I want to be affiliated with a business that is this lazy? What else will they be lackadaisical with?
