The Alexa Echo Dot app is a powerful tool for incorporating mindfulness into your daily routine. To enable the Mindfulness Minute skill, open the Alexa App and select “Movements and Games”. Search for the Mindfulness Meditation skill under Your Skills and press Disable Skill if enabled. This skill can be accessed on all available Alexa devices, and you don’t need to unplug your device to prevent your Routine from running.
You can also create a counter Routine by creating a counter routine that does the opposite of your current routine. Some helpful skills on the Echo include asking Alexa to “Open Mindful Meditation”, asking for a three-minute meditation, or setting it as your default.
To de-stress, try listening to guided meditations on your Amazon Echo device or the Alexa app. Stop, Breathe and Think offers over 60 guided meditations designed to reduce stress and anxiety. To disable the Mindfulness Minute skill, use the phrase “Alexa, disable Mindfulness Minute skill”.
One Minute Meditation is another option for rejuvenating your mind in spare moments. In the Alexa app, go to More, then Settings, then Notifications, and tap Things to Try. Turn both toggles off.
To begin sleep meditation, lie flat on your back, take deep breaths, and close your eyes. With a simple command, “Alexa, open Morning Mantra”, Alexa will read a mantra like, “The joy I am is effortlessly expanding”.

In this video, I’ll show you how to stop Alexa from randomly talking or making noises. For last couple of nights Alexa is waking us …
Or better yet DON’T OWN ONE EVER AT ALL. Also because of the HOMELAND SECURITY ACT there truly is no such thing as remaining completely private. You’re best bet is to live in an area with poor reception and have a secure VPN. Or just hide in plain sight. You are always under surveillance and recorded wether you like it or not.
My peeve with Amazon is their PC rules on what Alexa can say,,,I mean I OWN the devices what do they CARE? It would be so much fun to have a non politically correct insolent version of alexa (different name of course) but amazon does not allow it? Seriously they are the PC police?? They should at least open the code so other developers could sell different AI personalities that enhance the alexa in custom ways
Also, even with my brief mode turned on my echo spot still talks way too much lol. Especially when I’m using voice control with Alexa to change the websites on my TV. For example I will say Alexa put on Investigation Discovery website. It will then say “tune in to Investigation Discovery on Fios, now airing when murder comes to town”. So not only does it repeat what I just asked it to change the website to, but then it also tells me the name of my service provider(fios). I find this super annoying, I know what my service provider is you don’t need to tell me and you also don’t need to repeat the website I just asked you to switch to. Super annoying LOL. I wish it would just switch the damn website and just say what’s airing without all the other repetitive crap
My wife check our Amazon Echo settings and Sidewalk was disabled; she never disabled it in the past. But good to know it’s off since we did check it. As for brief mode, I’ve noticed in some cases it repeats the wrong song name. I guess I”d find it out soon enough it’s good to make sure the order was gotten right, just like at the drive thru.
Hi I’m new to your website and I literally just got my echo dot yesterday and I always assumed that the blue light would always stay on as a cool feature and I downloaded the app and there’s nowhere there you would think there would be like an easy feature to keep the blue light on or to turn it off or something but in all this menu there’s nothing about keeping turning on the blue light or having it on I understand that it’s for notifications and stuff like that but is there an easy way or is there even a way to have that blue light ring on as a cool feature?
