How To Conquer The Spire With Minimalism?

The Minimalist achievement in Slay The Spire requires a 5 card deck or smaller to achieve it, which is worth 25 Gamerscore. This achievement requires a select choice of cards and a lot of luck. Defect can achieve this with claws or demon form, and an infinity combo is required. The most common combo is 1x ((Bash)) 2x ((Dropkick)) 1x card to draw at least one more card, often using ((Shrug it off)) as it’s common.

To achieve this achievement, players must pray for many sources for card removal. A good character for this is the Ironclad, with Rage and Rampage being good choices. Any infinite combo under 5 cards can be used, and the next best thing is to remove 2 cards for 50 life or 8 max hp, then remove 1 card or 250 gold. If one of these starting bonuses is not available, any infinite combo that’s under 5 cards can be used.

In summary, the Minimalist achievement in Slay The Spire requires a select choice of cards and a lot of luck. Players can achieve this by using Ironclad, Rage, Rampage, Searing Blow, double tap, and other methods to achieve this achievement.

Which character is strongest in Slay the Spire?

The Watcher is the fourth and final character in Slay the Spire, unlockable through a victory run after unlocking the Defect. With the second lowest starting HP and a Relic that adds a Miracle, the character is inspired by martial arts and Eastern practices. They have Stances, which can be entered or exited by playing certain cards. Each Stance offers different bonuses, such as Wrath doubling damage and Calm providing extra energy upon exit. The crown jewel is the Divinity Stance, which grants three energy points and triples damage.

However, this requires building up Mantra cards. To reach more powerful Stances, players must be defensive and save energy to reach more powerful Stances. How to get minimalist achievement?

The Minimalist achievement in Resident Evil 4 is an end-game trophy granted to players who beat the campaign using only handguns and knives. It’s a silver trophy on PlayStation and a 30-Gamescore achievement on Xbox. Beginner RE4 players may need help to get this achievement, as it limits them to only two weapon types—pistol and knives—equally inadequate in boss fights. To get the Minimalist achievement, players should keep a pistol and knife, store away everything else, unlock infinite ammo for the handgun, carry a maxed-out primal knife, and exploit case charms that increase handgun ammo drop. What is the 20 rule minimalist?

Over the past few years, the couple has been reducing their just-in-case possessions, ensuring they don’t pack anything just in case. They believe that any items we need can be replaced for less than $20 in less than 20 minutes from their current location. This theory has been proven to be true 100 times, with no replacements needed and no longer requiring more than $20 or going more than 20 minutes. This theory is likely applicable to all items and people, including the couple.

The couple hasn’t missed the hundreds of just-in-case items they’ve gotten rid of, and most didn’t need to be replaced. Getting rid of these items clears their minds, frees up space, and takes the weight off their shoulders.

How to actually win Slay the Spire?

To beat the game, players must first reach the heart of the spire with the Ironclad, Silent, and Defect. Focus on one character and level them up until reaching the heart. Players who dislike the Ironclad must unlock the best cards for the class and repeat the process. There are no rewards for playing with every character regularly, but after reaching the heart with the main three adventurers, players can beat the game however they like. Playing favorites has more advantages than just comfort, and if players love the Watcher, there’s no reason to play another class after reaching the heart with the other classes.

  • Thanks for your articles; I’ve learned so much about this game! Got this with 1 Vigilance and 4 Pressure Points. I was down to 4 cards until I got offered a fourth Pressure Points as a card reward two floors before the Time Boss. 2nd turn kill. I also got the Common Sense and Transient achievements. This was the 1st time I had killed him before he faded, and I did it twice in the same run. Keep up the great articles. I’m excited for your website. It’s really taking off.

  • Ironclad – Demon Form, Necronomicurse, Defend +, Heavy Blade +, Rampage + A lot of growth to help with long fights but I did this with mods on, even though they were only bonus character mods I didn’t even get the achievement but it was my second attempt so I haven’t truly experienced what pain that would have been

  • A fun combo for watcher is; Eruption+, Vigilance+, Rushdown+, Deus Ex Machina+ and Conjure Blade+. You are guaranteed to draw Deus Ex Machina which adds 3 extra miracles to your hand for a total of 4 (assuming you kept starting relic). With this and maybe an extra energy from a relic, you get a 1 cost Expunger worth 8×5 or 9×5, or 6/7×5 if you needed to Vigilance on turn 1 to block damage. The Expunger generally ends up being worth more due to strength and rage stance. You also play Rushdown so your collective hand, draw and discard is just Eruption, Vigilance and Expunger. From there you can play Eruption > Expunger > Vigilance as many times as you can in a turn, either once or twice depending on energy relics, and Expunger does a solid 150 per use. It’s a lot flashier and quicker than the Feel No Evil infinite.

  • Maaaaan I had almost the same start here, with 2 claws, but never got any reliable source of block like Auto-Shields. That makes this SOOOOO much more difficult. I also came up one shy on removals, but after a couple random card transformations I had 3 Claw, 2 Hologram (which I used to re-draw my Claws and speed up their progression), and 1 Leap (that I got by transformation.) Sooooo close to being doable.

  • I got so lucky, managed to beat the heart with my build. Watcher. Fear no evil +, halt +, eruption +, rush down +, pressure points +. I got rush down right before awakened and greedily took it hoping to get rid of one of my extra pressure points in an event. No dice, six card deck. But I also got all the pieces for the ending chapter. I get rid of my extra pressure points at the store, but there’s a problem: the heart forces bad status effects. My lucky solution: I had the double effective potions relic and three power potions. One of the power potions was useless, but the other two got me rush down and foresight. I was able to draw enough extra cards to also use halt in the infinite combo and make sure I started my turn with the cards I needed via scry. So I got to luck my way into the minimalist achievement.

  • Just got it after 4 tries thanks to the guide! I had a floor one pressure points so I decided to go into that direction. Unfortunately I didn’t find any other pressure points for the rest of the run. I did however got a swivel/ragnarok from pandoras box and combined with an akabeko helped me smash through hallways and even elites. Loving the content and excited for more. Thanks Baalor! Ragnarok+ Talk to the hand+ Swivel+ Pressure points+ Flash of steel

  • Just got the achievement yesterday with watcher. Ended up with a ridiculous set of cards: – alpha+ – windmill strike + – flurry of blows + – Vigilance + – Defend + I still had 8 cards (including eruption) at the start of act 3. There were 3 shops I could visit, but I ran out of money for removals after the second. The falling event saved me, but had me choose between eruption and vigilance. Chose to remove eruption to maintain a chance of blocking sufficiently. Beat time eater in the turn it would have killed me with one overpowered windmill strike (and a continuous barrage of omega damage each turn). Good times

  • Vigilance, Rushdown, Tantrum (Unnecessary, was using Eruption until I got below 5 cards, so swapped it for no real reason…). + Violet Lotus. I went for Watcher, as her starter cards are almost enough for an infinite… First attempt I almost got it, added Rushdown on floor 1, and Inner Peace soon after, sadly was about 20 gold short to remove a card when I got to the last shop… A few tries later I got it, Added Rushdown, then got Violet lotus, so only a single card was needed to be added… However I did get really lucky with events, in addition to remove 2 cards as meow bonus in exchange for Current HP, I somehow managed to get down to 4 cards early act 3, so I picked up a tantrum for a tiny bit faster kills. Followed by removing down to the following three cards when fighting The Awakened One: Vigilance, Rushdown, Tantrum. Had it not been for Violet Lotus I’d have needed an Inner peace, however that would not have generated block. Not that block would have mattered for any boss but Time Eater. Also note that thanks rushdown + tantrum being able to draw cards, I don’t need to get down to 5 cards to get the infinite rolling, so I pathed pretty heavily into Elite combats, this is because they give more gold, and removals get very expensive.

  • I watched this last night, and felt inspired to try today. My first attempt was a success because of this article! 😁 I ran into the enemy that gives you the parasite as well, but thanks for the advice about saving an attack. Basically, thank you so much for this article! 😊❤ Deck: Glacier, Streamline, Claw, Claw, Dualcast Main useful relics: Blood Vial, Nuclear Battery, Vajra, Sacred Bark

  • Watched the article and applied the tips on the ironclad, as he’s the character I know best, to get the achievement, so thank you! Relics: – Burning Blood (contemplated switching it, but I wanted consistency) – Bag of Marbles (combo’d beautifully with the Dropkick) – Girya (made me really want a limit break, which I got after Act 1 Boss!) – Pear (was ok) – Medical Kit (Act 1 shop grab, best choice ever with the small deck of cards, set me back one removal though) – Whetstone (upgraded 2 strikes that I ended up removing :() – Busted Crown (the extra energy was nice for Bash setup with Dropkick, and I already had 4 of the 5 cards I ended up with; Offering was acquired in Act 3 shop) – Red Mask (Didn’t want it, but it was an event, and I didn’t want to lose my gold. Was nice for artefact clearing on Donu/Deca) – Peace Pipe (removed the card I didn’t remove when I bought Medkit) – Strawberry (was ok) – Empty cage (reward Act 2 Boss; allowed me to buy Offering in Act 3 as it set me down to 4 cards) – Question Card (useless) Cards: – Bash+ (for vulnerable) – Shrug it off+ (for Block and drawing Limit Break+/Dropkick+) – Dropkick+ (Looping Limit Break+ with the vulnerable) – Limit Break+ (3-6-12-24-48 Strength on turn one, 96-192 Strength on turn two, 384 Strength and one hit kill Deca/Donu on turn 3) – Offering (For the extra Limit Break+ on turn 1) Honestly with this setup, I don’t think I would’ve lost againt any of the Act 3 bosses, as Shrug+ gave me decent block alongside the ridiculous HP from Pear and Strawberry.

  • Defect: 2 Claw+, Auto-Shield+ and Reprogram+ with a Dualcast i couldn’t get rid of, and a Singing Bowl so all the card rewards didn’t go to waste. i just quickly killed the cultists against the awakened then just cycled reprogram and auto-shield, with claws to build up the damage, str and dex so i could kill the 2nd phase in 1 turn. Also got Jaxxed this way.

  • My run was an Ironclad Power Through+ deck, with Second Wind+, Flame Barrier+, and Fire Breathing+ x2. Getting Fire breathing is enough to supplant your strikes through early sentries, 2 of the act 1 bosses, and several normal enemies down the line such as the Chosen, Flame Barrier is excellent for multihit enemies like byrds and the Guardian, and Second Wind lets you control the number of Wounds you draw per turn, letting you do at least 40 damage to all foes per turn with minimal block loss. You’re really only looking for a one energy relic, preferably Mark of Pain, you don’t necessarily want Runic Dome, as sometimes foes won’t go for the expected multihit attack. Card draw relics like the top, watch or puzzle, and Mummified hand also helps with setup/tempo. Stone Calendar is a cherry on top.

  • I got minimalist with silent – on low Ascension. It involved getting a piece pipe from neow as a relic reward and then toking constantly, picking up 2 heel hooks in act 1 and going to every campfire. With neutralise I was going infinite by act 2. I got a third heel hook and after image and even managed to beat the heart by just tanking it’s hits (wouldn’t work on higher Ascension due to 2 damage beat of death and ascenders bane). Time eater would have killed it of course and with no shuriken it took forever to kill anything but it did work. I even managed to upgrade a heel hook by the last bonfire lol.

  • Just looked up this guide and said “hm yeah I like claw so I’ll play defect” First run I got discount card, bought a singing bowl, got two claws, a glacier, and a hologram and kept dualcast. Got so many remove options and hardly used any. I truly was blessed and for some reason Purity also triggered.

  • Achieved using Defect: Beam Cell+ Doom and Gloom+ Streamline+ Dualcast+ Steam Barrier Pandora’s box + Molten Egg meant I swapped most of my starter Strikes and Defends for upgraded cards, and I found Shuriken and Kunai for scaling. Time Eater was the final boss, but defeated easily by dualcasting dark orbs.

  • Defect with: Claw+, Glacier+, Sweeping Beam+, Charge Battery+, and Hologram+. Some notable relics were: Toxic Egg, Inserter and Incense Burner. I was really lucky with my transforms (I took Pando’s Box and some other transform events) and basically just outblocked Donu and Deca while scaling up Claw. Having only Sweeping Beam and Zap for 2 bosses for damage was terrifying.

  • After finding this article, I tried. The closest I got on 3 tries was winning with 6 commons (2xLeap+,Zap+,Coolheaded+,Strike+,Dualcast+). Couldn’t work out what to drop and still survive. Maybe Strike+, but with Vajra that was contributing quite a lot. Just couldn’t find any Claws or other scaling cards. At least I got the “Common Sense” achievement.

  • Just got this today on Watcher with Perseverance+, Cut Through Fate+, Vigilance+, Reach Heaven+, and Eruption+. I had Sozu which let me go Reach Heaven (15 damage) > Vigilance (12 block) on turn one, then on subsequent turns, Eruption (9 damage – enter Wrath and gain 2 Energy) > Reach Heaven (30 damage) > Cut Through Fate (18 damage, draw Through Violence) > Through Violence (40 damage) > Vigilance (12+ block from Kunai) to start the cycle over again. The Perseverance could be used to stall, and since the Through Violences were retainable, I could save them to go nova on a better turn if necessary. Got Deca and Donu at the end, which definitely helped, because it was pretty hard to do without getting more potions, however, I had a strength potion which helped that boss fight immensely.

  • Little Late to the party but: Eruption, Vigilance, Consecrate, Signature Move, Follow Up. Not an infinite combo by any means, but when paired with Unceasing top and Pen nib and some other relics, I managed a Transient kill, and turn one doughnut bros. I’ve only felt more powerful when running a Corruption Dead Branch.

  • Silent, actually made it with 4 cards, could do it with 3, but i guess Adrenaline for free 2 energy helped. Survivor+ Grand Finale+ Reflex+ Adrenaline+ Adrenaline for free energy – Grand Finale for aoe 60 damage – Survivor discarding reflex – draw 3 from reflex (so draw whole deck back. Grand Finale + Survivor + Adrenaline). This results in 300 aoe damage first turn, and 180 damage each after, + 33 armor every turn.

  • Mine was on Watcher with Vigilance, Empty Body, Prostration, and 2 Pressure Points. I had Unceasing Top to help with draws and going in and out of calm for energy. It’s crazy too, because I had so many attempts on Defect that just couldn’t make the cut in Act 3. But then I tried it once on Watcher and got it. I saw PP on floor two and thought “well if I’m gonna have a small deck, this would be a good card to play a bunch”. Turns out it’s actually CRAZY good if it’s the only card you’re playing hahah

  • Just beat it with watcher despite never actually getting the rushdown I was looking for lol. My final deck was vault, carve reality, fne, eruption, and vigilance (all upgraded of course). I did have some pretty great luck for my relics unlike my deck though. Some notable relics were gremlin horn, nunchaku, ink bottle, lantern (which was huge in getting big setup and damage with the vault round 1), and ornamental fan. I also got an astrolabe after the act 1 boss that gave me a judgement, like water, and carve reality from. The judgement was actually hugely helpful with how well it synergized with gremlin horn, a lot of the group bosses would have been much more difficult if I didn’t have those 2 things, and the judgement survived until floor 46.

  • tried it with ironclad after perusal this guide. I was successful in my second attempt! my final deck was Flame Barrier+, Spot Weakness+, Shrug It Off, Rampage+ and Iron Wave+. I had a Heavy Blade+ but I had to remove it in act 3 because falling event. it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I ended up with 4 cards and picked up the Shrug It Off from a store. this enabled me to play rampage twice each turn, scaling it further and further. combined with spot weakness I was getting 16-20 extra damage on the rampage each turn. demon form who? 😆

  • Claw+coolheaded+skim+defrag+turbo. It wasn’t quite infinite due to the handspace, but it was sufficient for turn 1-2 kill (final boss wasn’t time eater, but i think i could beat him too). Would be quite sick with sundial or abacus, but still a very good set of relics (empty cage+astrolabe are definetely main stars of the show, but something like meat on the bone saved the early game, etc)

  • The most fun way I did (I’ve done this a few times) this was as Defect using Discovery+, Coolheaded+x2, Fission+ and Streamline+. Coolheadeds allow me to redraw the Discovery and whatever is generated, Fission allows me to do this a lot of times on turn 1, Streamline is how I didn’t die in act 1, and Discovery is a very fun card as defect. With it, I can usually generate a recycle, a plasma orb, and a multicast in the first few turns, but can struggle if I don’t get very lucky. Lucky for me, the fission and one of the Coolheadeds were from an Astrolabe, so it was rad. After also getting Empty Cage from act 2, I decided to mess around with some shop items like Medkit and Discovery, as I thought my deck without it died to Time Eater as I didn’t do enough with just a Zap in its place. Against the Time Eater, I just found like four storms and a Thunder strike, and that was good enough to win on exactly one health. Since I am insane, I also decided to fight the heart for some reason. I proceeded to remove the Zap at the end with the rest of my money. Against the act 4 elites, I get kinda chunked but still manage to come out with double digits of health, and wouldn’t you know it, at the 11th hour, I get a Sundial from the elites. Proceed to generate infinite energy and block against the heart, and then somehow manage to get the main Gameplan online by turn 3. With 999 energy and 995 block, I watch a dark orb get evoked around 1000 times and watch the heart withe in pain. I then let it do the honors, and have it kill itself on my Bronze Scales I got from my second elite, Lagavulin.

  • Searing blow+8 Double tap Whirlwind Armaments+ Bash Got lucky enough to get the Remove 2 Cards boon to start, found the removal shrine, Winged Boots to hit extra shops/fires, got a snecko eye. Got to upgrade my whole hand first turn and keep buffing sear blow while killing most things instantaneously. Searing blow is so much better when you draw it, buff it, and swing with it twice almost every turn!

  • I think I got pretty lucky. Watched the article and then got the achievement on my first attempt. Ended the run with 3 Streamline+, Reinforced Body+, and Equilibrium+. For boss relics picked up an empty cage and nuclear battery so I had plenty of energy to play my two cost cards and once the streamlines hit 0 cost I could rack up 36 defense a turn while hitting for 60. Even picked up smiling mask for removal, toolbox for some additional card options, and anchor to block for me while I got the streamlines going. Absolute dream run.

  • I just got this last night, and at the same time got the “win with no uncommon or rare cards” trophy. I found an almost impregnable loop, I had 1x defend, 2x shrug it off+, 1x flex+ and 1x bodyslam+, What I found was I could use flex, then shrug it off which would return flex to my hand, then use the other shrug it off which would then return either flex again or the previous shrug it off, upon which using the shrug it off for the 3rd time returned whichever car was in my discard pile. That, coupled with the relics I had gathered gave me 5 energy per turn and allowed me to get 10 strength every time, it was rinse and repeat with that, every turn gave me 40 to 50 block and attack, I faced the time eater so i had to make sure I was paying attention to the clock so I didn’t waste a bodyslam chance, thankfully I didn’t, and despite him chipping away at my health with his stronger attacks, I managed to beat it with about 20 health remaining. I had acquired this set of 5 by early in level 3, the corridor goons never stood a chance, in fact the time eater and the sentient were the only enemies capable of removing any health.

  • I managed to do it with Watcher. My 5 cards was Vigilance+, Eruption+, Protect+, 2x Battle Hymn (only 1 upgraded). Boss relics was Fusion Hammer and Empty Cage. Picked up Dead Branch (which I shouldn’t have) and it flooded my draw pile. Luckily I was still managed to pull through and defeated Awakened One

  • I’m pretty sure I got minimalist on silent with a heel hook infinite. I don’t know exactly what I used but I’m pretty sure I had peace pipe, sundial, used neutralize for the weak, and had some draw card to allow myself to infinite turn 1. I completed the achievement years ago so I can’t remember exactly how I did it.

  • I got the absolutely silliest minimalist watcher run: Conjure Blade. It really shouldn’t have beaten multi enemy rooms, but I got lucky that I got the gremlin horn, so if I killed with it I got the energy back and it went back into my hand. I accidentally bottled a really heavy card so I couldn’t remove it, but otherwise it was super easy, barely an inconvenience. I’m hoping to replay the seed to see if I can replicate it. It’s not a good strategy, but God it was fun!

  • Thanks for this article! Just got the achievement on my first try with the Defect, with Defend+, Zap+, Streamline+, Scrape+ and Reinforced Body. I couldn’t find anything better than 2 Defend+ cards in the entire run, then I hit the Falling event on floor 48 (foolishly didn’t listen to your advice) which cost me one of the Defend+. But I had Dream Catcher and the RNG was kind so I picked up Reinforced Body at the last rest before the Awakened One.

  • So… I just tried this, had a very similar run, never got the ice orbs and held on to the lightning and dual cast till nearly the end. I had my 5 cards, 2 blocks, 2 claws and auto shield. But then a Writhing Mass added a Parasite to my collection the fight before Donu and Deca. It’s gonna be a minute before I try this one again.

  • Well, I accidentally found a glitch that might help with this. If you pick the boss relic starting gift and get Astrolabe, then quit to menu on the screen where you view your 3 new cards (I wanted to check the compendium), but before you choose the first room, the 3 transformed cards will magically be gone from your deck when you continue. I started the run as Defect with 7 cards. We’ll see where the run goes lol.

  • Watched you then in 1 try I got minimalist with Ironclad! 2x Defend+ 2x Rampage+ Shrug it Off+ Sacred bark + heart of iron made woke bloke trivial 4 energy from runic dome (coz what else is the play) let me play 2 rampage, shrug one back and play again kind of analogous to your claw claw hologram claw. Was a bit afraid for my block good thing no nemesis

  • Ironclad – Defend, Bash, Demon Form, Impervious and Sword Boomerang all upgraded before getting a fusion hammer, but was desperately looking for a Flame Barrier to replace the Impervious. Didn’t, but turns out I didn’t even need to use Impervious in the last fight against Time Eater….. good old reliable block, nothing beats block :L

  • I just beat it, Searing Blow +10, Thunderclap +, bash and clash +, i started trading my initial Ironclad relic for Astrolabe, giving me Searing blow +1, Thunderclap+ and Clash+, and i knew what had to be done, important relics was philosopher’s stone and coffee dripper giving me 5 energy to play everything in one turn, also mutagenetic strength giving me +3 to make the first turn stronger. I got so scared of taking coffee dripper and taking damage, but the other options were out of question, and i ended melting everyone in two, or even one turn. I ended up getting the falling event, but it costed me a defense, making my deck 4 cards, i was even searching for an Armaments just to complete the Searing Blow but i didn’t get it lol.

  • I made it on the third attempt with the Ironclad after dying to Time Eater twice (sigh) with the Defect prior. Final cards: Immolate, Bloodletting+, True Grit+, Battle Trance+, Shrug It Off+ I got quite lucky with 2 card removal events in Act 1. Once I picked up Immolate, things were looking bright. Shrug it Off, Battle Trance, and Blootletting ensured I could cast Immolate two, sometimes three times a turn, which made me breeze through Act 2. True Grit was the perfect synergy with Immolate to remove those Burn debuffs every turn, and I could build up 20-30 armor as well depending on how I played my cards. The sixth card I had for most of the run was Bash+ to help with single target damage. Then I amost died to Nemesis after getting too cocky and thinking the extra relic could help me in the final boss fight and I had to waste some potions due to unlucky RNG and almost drowning in Burns. Several of the regular single enemy fights in Act 3 were also a struggle, namely Writhing Mass and Spire Growth, but I pulled through. Deca and Donu were no match for me in the end, and they died in 7 turns to Immolate spam. I definitely learned something by limiting myself for this fun challenge! Thanks for inspiring me, Baalor!

  • Shrug it Off x2, Necrocurse, Magnetism, and Bludgeon. Boss Relics were Empty Cage and Choker, also had Necronomicon. Awakened One was my boss (Still played Magnetism though). Only survived due to a lucky panic button off Magnetism happening at least twice right when I needed it, and had a lot of healing relics and boat relics (Anchor, Horn Cleat, Flower, Bird Urn) that really helped out.

  • Zap, Dualcast, Darkness x2, Cold Snap – all upgraded with nothing other than the starter relic even interacting with orbs. First boss relic was empty cage, but I skipped the second boss relic. The deck was decent enough output and being able to select which orbs to play in what order and when to evoke, dualcast, or pass them gave enough flexibility to cover most fights. The rest I made up for with pots.

  • I just tried for my first time after perusal this article. I was unable to get under 8, but I had one of my more enjoyable runs with Ironclad, where I actually made Clash work, of all cards! I was unable to get rid of 1 strike and 3 defends, but I had Thunderclap for applying vulnerable for just 1 energy, Sever Soul for getting rid of unwanted cards, Shrug It Off for early card draw and some block(this one was probably redundant), Dual Wield to make more Clashes, and of course Clash . Key relics were Incense Burner which helped out because of my lack of defensive cards and Medical Kit, which allowed me to get rid of status cards when Sever Soul was unavailable. I also had a Shuriken, which with the abundance of Clashes helped me power up quickly.

  • With watcher: – Pressure Points – 2 Cut Through Fates – Wallop – Perseverance All of the cards were upgraded The main strat I went with was playing the pressure points and then recalling it with the cut through fate. I had Wallop and Perseverance on hand incase I needed to block with the Perseverance existing to protect me from more sizable attacks

  • Watcher was easy mode for this. I got it on my 1st Monklady try. (After 3 fails on Ironbirb and 2 on the Robut) Eruption+ Vigilance+ Flurry of Blows Defend+ Signature Move+ Shoutouts to: Pen Nib & Teardrop Locket for making it work. Note: Setting up Nib for 160 damage Signatures wasn’t ACTUALLY necessary, but it was satisfying.

  • Gave it a try and basically got the exact same run as you except I picked equilibrium instead of auto shields and 3 claws with a hologram. Got pretty close in the nemesis fight as well but everything else was smooth sailing. Almost messed up the run by not ratioining card picks on the first floor but a lucky empty cage helped it succeed!

  • I got it my first try with the Watcher! It was actually my first victory at all with the watcher, I usually have trouble managing her forms – not an issue when you’re always holding Vigilance and Eruption. Deck was: – Flurry of Blows – Eruption – Vigilance – Ragnarok – Wallop/Sanctity (I lost Wallop to the Fall event, then bought Sanctity at a shop) Flurry-Vigilance-Flurry-Eruption-Flurry-Miracle-Ragnarok won most normal fights turn 1. I managed to get the Runic Pyramid and Niltry’s Codex, which made the deck feel much less constrained / repetitive, and the Gremlin Horn, which made it possible to kill the blobs in level 3 on turn one. Super fun, unique way to play.

  • I used Watcher with Eruption+, Inner Piece, Rushdown and Mental Fortress. I actually tried to do it without relics, but on the first somewhat successful try did manage to go infinite but didn’t reduce deck to 5 cards by the final boss. Rushdown and Mental Fortress are cast and then you only have 2 cards to play – just need to not mess up the order.

  • Well, I just got it on Watcher with Eruption, Vigilance, Mental Fortress, Rushdown, and Flurry of Blows. Violet Lotus made it infinite and Sundial meant I could slip the Mental Fortress down and deal with spikers. Since I got Donu and Deca as my Act 3 boss, I also got to knock out You Are Nothing. Good guide. =)

  • I finally did it ! Your article helped me a lot. I started with transform 2 as defect, got Multi-Cast and Hello world. I ended up with Multi-Cast +, Doom and Gloom, Reinforced body +, Go for the eyes + and a defend. Was lucky enough to find a membership card to afford the removals. The fights were pretty easy towards the end as I could just stall with go for the eyes and reinforced and finish with a big multicast on a Dark Orb, took me about 10 tries to get the achievment tho.

  • nice one man. I will try it. its a difficult one for sure. Without the autoshield which is pure defense value at 1 cost, and the 2 early claws, i’m not sure what other cards can really replace these for a whole run, cause the scaling from the claws is indeed needed and is relevant throughout the whole run. Also the inserter, the smiling mask and the frost core did insane job on this. Not sure if it would be even remotely achievable without the luck on those relics.

  • Did it first try, thanks to your guidance! Did it as watcher with: Perseverance, Evaluate, Vigilance+, 2x Pressure Points+ It was really close and lucky. Got the peace pipe on the last floor and had to use all rest sites to remove cards, finally entering the Time Eater fight with 30 HP and 5 cards in my deck. 😀

  • I got minimalist on Watcher with Rushdown, Upgraded Eruption, Inner Peace. I just kept playing until I encountered a Rushdown and aggressively removed cards. Those 3 cards allowed a very easy infinite as long as there aren’t any curses/statuses. Talk to the Hand or Mental Fortress could help with blocking.

  • I love how every single one of these articles are literal god runs, mask, double claw and frozen orb after act 1 is one in a hundred and that followed up by an inserter is an insult to even upload it. Literally every single person can beat it this way when they waste enough time to churn through 5000 runs.
