Parenting at Mealtime and Playtime (PMP) is a professional development initiative designed for healthcare providers to optimize obesity risk assessment, prevention counseling, and family support for children aged 0-18 years. The program provides tools for best clinical care and health outcomes for children from birth through 5 years old and now through adolescence. The number of obese children in the United States has more than tripled since the 1970s. The Ohio Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (OAAP), is conducting the PMP program in collaboration with the Ohio Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics.
The PMP program transitioned from a Quality Improvement (QI) project to an education-based model, focusing on improving nutrition, physical activity, and overall wellness of children. Launched in 2014, it encompasses the Ohio Healthy Programs, the Ohio Healthy Programs for Family Child Care, and Parenting at Mealtime and Playtime. Ohio Healthy Programs works with child care providers to embrace an environment focused on healthy eating and nutrition.
Other initiatives in Ohio provide parents with information about their children’s health and how to keep them safe and healthy. Through education, mentorship, and policy initiatives, Ohio Healthy Programs works with child care providers to embrace an environment focused on healthy eating. Families with children eligible for school meals may be eligible for free health care coverage through Medicaid and/or Ohio’s Healthy Start and other programs.

Is parenting harder now than in the past?
The new generation of parents spends more money and time on their children than previous generations, with almost half describing themselves as overprotective. Over 40% of parents find raising their children tiring and stressful, while one-third find it all or most of the time. This stress may be due to raising children differently than how they were raised, with nearly half of all parents attempting to raise their children differently. Millennial parents assume they have more control over their children’s lives, while parents of the past understood certain things are out of their control.
What is the difference between 80’s parenting and current parenting?
In the 80s and 90s, parenting was characterized by freedom, limited screen time, and hands-off discipline. This parenting style fostered independence and self-reliance in children, allowing them to explore their environment and learn to rely on themselves. This fosters confidence and resilience in adults, unlike children who are constantly supervised and sheltered.
One of the main benefits of this parenting style is the ability to engage in self-directed play, where children can use their imaginations, problem-solve, and engage in activities without adult guidance. This type of play allows children to take risks, make decisions, and learn from their mistakes. This self-directed play helps children develop a strong sense of confidence and self-esteem. As they explore their environment and try new things, they also learn to problem-solve independently, without adult intervention. In contrast, children who are constantly supervised and sheltered may struggle with decision-making and problem-solving later in life.

Middle-school years are challenging due to changes during puberty, identity issues, dating issues, friends issues, and introduction to alcohol and smoking.
What is the Ohio Drop Program?
The Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund (OP and F) offers the Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP), an optional benefit for eligible police officers and firefighters. This program, which has been the most requested addition to the fund’s benefits, was introduced without additional cost to members, their employers, or OP and F. Senate Bill 134 was signed into law in 2002, allowing DROP to begin offering in 2003. Enrolling in DROP is a voluntary decision, and OP and F strongly encourage members to seek financial, legal, and tax advice before entering the plan.
What is the difference between old parenting and new parenting?
Traditional parenting involves strict rules and discipline, while modern parenting is more open-minded and less authoritarian. Traditional parenting heavily relies on rewards and punishments, while modern parenting focuses on teaching life lessons through dialogue. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to parenting, and responsive parenting considers all factors. This guide offers tips on responding appropriately to challenging behaviors while providing a loving environment for growth and development. It emphasizes the importance of love and structure for children’s success.
What is the most exhausting age to parent?
The initial months of parenthood can be challenging due to the constant care and attention newborns require, which may be difficult for new parents to balance with other responsibilities and commitments. New parents may experience feelings of overwhelm, sleep deprivation, and a lack of restorative periods. Nevertheless, with time, parenting can become less exhausting as new parents adapt to the changes in their lives and the constant care and attention newborns require.

I watched an interview of a 100 year old woman on soft white underbelly. this woman talked about her mom and how she had an unwanted pregnancy, and to have an abortion, her mom put the bottom half of her body in boiling water and died. Why can’t we just let women have access to safe health care? That 100 year old woman still cried and was horrified to talk about her own poor mother. Can we please have justice for these women who just wanted control of their life and the size of her family
As much as Trump is saying the moderators favored Harris, they let Trump talk nearly every time he had a response, which was always. And when Trump lied and hurled insults at Harris, she wasn’t allowed to respond. She put up with so much offensive nonsense that no one should have to stand there and take. Trump has created a scenario where it’s unfair to challenge anything he says, as if everything he says is legitimate, and allowing him to have say his peace is something he is owed, but Harris is not. The media absolutely defers to Trump and it’s never enough. He wants a state media like in Russia, or increasingly what is the case in Hungary. He says “strong man” like he doesn’t know that means dictator and says Orban is one of the most respected world leaders as if he’s only respected by fascists.
Harris backed her statements up with receipts & gave very specific answers. Slightly better moderation, but STILL allowing that toddler to blather on and on! He ate up SO MUCH TIME! SHUT HIS MIC OFF WHEN HE STARTS THAT MESS! He just repeats the same old stuff! He got way more time and said NOTHING! He did not answer most of the questions & most of his lies just floated by unchecked. I appreciate how difficult it must be to control him, but you could have MUTED THE MIC!
When you are not a woman in your childbearing years you really should have a lot less interest in abortion. But if we really want to deal with it, Trump made sure that everyone has to deal with their state representatives. You vote out anyone who keeps abortion up if you love having abortions. I mean it’s easy thing to do. And everyone’s still focusing on that instead of the absolute mess this world is because the last two presidents have spent the last 40.
Tonight’s debate was a disaster for Donald Trump. Even those who continue to support this version of the Republican Party saw firsthand what real leadership looks like in Kamala Harris. Trump, you were completely outclassed and exposed. Your performance was an embarrassment, and it’s clearer than ever that you’re not fit to lead.
she had all the deceiving power of the devil on her side. slick liar, never fact checked. they kept the camera on her while he talked, all the while smirking and looking at him as if he were a silly child. that was purposeful. he was respectful as she talked. he had to withstand the ugly power of all three of them. he did well as she repeated all the old stories that were proven to be lies. then she says “we’re not going back”. the “passage of time”.
Why was trump never cut off like Harris was? They allowed him far more leniency to respond, demand to speak, etc. The saving grace was that trump was trump to a T. Complain, lie, point the finger at others while lying, and NOT ONCE answering the question. Round and roubd, deflect, and lie. God help this country if he is ever within breathing distance of the presidency again.
Why the mediators couldn’t able to stop him. He was looking sad, depressed, angry and totally no eye contact, he was not answering the questions what was asked. He denied project 2025 and he was not aware about it. This debate was a disaster for him. She was fully prepared, good eye contact and she answered all the questions what she was asked.
There are Democrats in Utah Kamala Harrls. I was a teachers aid in Utah Obama care helped me have insurance where my District couldn’t offer it because l was condisered part time. The coverage saved my life. Access to health care for all citizens is important. I liked what you said in this debate. My father was a steel worker for Geneva Steel in Utah County and a Union member those benefits helped raise six kids and kept my mom in food and housing till she died. My dad died at 63 after the hard work in the blast furnace. He and my mom were Democrats for life. I would like to see another Democratic Senator from Utah. It has been awhile. Shout out to Frank Moss. It had been since l was in highschool class of 1977. But lt will be a pleasure to see a Woman as President in the White House. You go girl! Win! Win! Win. Trump is not right for the future of the United States.
Donald Trump you are so wrong. Kamala Harris does believe in things that I believe in. I do believe in things that will help the climate. I do believe in things that will help families and to help the middle class and not the top 2%. I do not believe in a narcissist that is only trying to get elected to avoid prison. God bless, Harris & Walz
What a wine baby Trump is. Just answer a question straight. It’s weird he goes on tangents that don’t have anything to do with what he was asked. What a weird guy! Vote Democrat Vice president Harris has always worked for the people And going into this next presidency. She will do the exact same thing.
Moderators caved time and again to Trump taking one more opportunity to have the last word, continue talking, leaving outrageous remarks left unchecked by Harris. Why didn’t they cut the mic??!! As promised. It’s what the bully always gets away with. I’m sure this will be the last real debate Trump will agree to.
Kamala nailed it,Trump,as always was disruptive, so it made it hard for her to explain her self further. One more thing,I wonder what Trump has on all these Republicans, the only one I heard that agreed she did a good job,was Chis Christy. Every time she started doing a whole lot. better he went right back to talking about the boarder, please for the sake of our lives and our loved ones vote for Kamala Harris. 💙
One candidate set out their proposals for the future… the other blathered on endlessly about how bad the opposition was… Guess which one would get my support if I were a voter in America. Sadly, I’m on the other side of the water in the UK and, if I could extend one piece of advice to the American people, RID YOURSELVES OF THE CONSERVATIVES!!! We did here and the UK will finally get a chance to recover from 14 years of CONservatism… I believe Kamala Harris and Tim Walz will deliver for you – Trump will squander everything Biden/Harris have achieved and take you back to the 1950s! Don’t let him!!!
I was in the USCG 35 years ago, and we typically found 30′ boats with 90 to 120 Haitians on board, and they had lots of animals on board that would be butchered and eaten during their journey. There’s absolutely nothing surprising to me that a group of hungry immigrants wouldn’t break bread over local flora and fauna! Sending 20,000 immigrants to a city of 59,000 is totally unfair and clearly evidence of democrat mischief!
Sick of this woman about her “middle class…” I’d rather vote someone who’s very poor and make their way up. They knew the struggles. And yes there are people who eats dogs and cats and even snakes. Open up your eyes woman! And of course you wouldn’t know because you’re a “middle class.” Both the moderators against Trump… SO NOT FAIR
her closing statement. we do not have “so much in common”. the majority of americans would not put tampons in little boys bathrooms at school, nor let men play in women’s sports, and so on. we want to “move forward” away from this administrations debacles. we do not want to go back. what a trainwreck.
TRUMP IS STILL THE BEST CHOICE FOR PRESIDENT. THE ECONOMY ATTAIN NEW HEIGHT ON HIS TERM AND JOBLESS RATE ATTAIN NEW LOWS. INFLATION WAS LOW AS COMPARED TO BIDEN. HE EVEN WENT TO NORTH KOREA FOR PEACE TALKS WITH THEIR PRESIDENT. WORLD LEADERS WILL LISTEN TO TRUMP MORE THAN HARRIS AS HE ALREADY HAS THE PRESIDENTIAL EXPERIENCE. HE IS A GOOD BUSINESSMAN AND THAT IS WHAT WE NEED. VOTE FOR TRUMP.
This is the second time I’ve watched the debate, Trump was trying tobplay “catch-up” the entire debate. He barely had a chance to take a breath between meltdowns. He has no self control, even when it comes to his own preservation, he spent the entire debate trying to defend himself and his lack of “plans” for the American people. 9 YEARS LATER AND ALL HE HAS IS CONCEPTS? This debate was Trump beginning his journey to perdition.
Is it me or did he just not tell what he was offering the american people? Also am I the only person who remembers trump saying he would build a wall between the US and Mexico. Maybe i missed seeing the bricks laid but he contined to rant how they did nothing in the last 3.5 years. I guess he forgot his original campaign promise.
Apart from their different messages during the debate, Ms Harris went out her way in order to go and shake hands with Mr Trump. Both candidates should at least met in the middle to shake hands. And actually, Mr Trump should have come up to her podium in order to shake hands, because she is the vice president and he is not, nor is he the president. in fact, he is just a mere candidate at this time. Very disrespectful of him. And it shows a symbolism, that characterizes the personalities of these 2 people clearly.
I don’t know. I don’t know…… I tell you one thing.. and I swear we all just watched this debate right.. how y’all didn’t see her neck face and hands change 😮😮 on my mama .. a even minute an 53 in the article. Tell me I’m lying tripping or something “”” but how did y’all miss that …… Omgggggggg I saw that shhhhhhhhhh
Hey, I hope you’ll take the time to understand what Harris is saying. The public needs to know the truth, and I give her props for calling out Trump when he’s lying. Pay attention to what’s happening in our country right now. Please use your common sense and vote for democracy. Vote for the Democratic candidates down the ballot. It’s obvious who’s fit to be president, and it’s not Trump.
The mathematics of tipping: If you have a meal for two you typically interact with the waitress for about 3 to a maximum 5 minutes, at a cost of $50 a tip of 20% will cost you 10 bucks, so this service is costing you at least $120/hour. If you don’t make at least $120 an hour, you can not afford that tip.
One problem. A young man pulling an RV is a red flag. RVs are a middle age/old person thing. @8:19 Tipping is a form of extortion. I’m expected to give money to a person who chooses to work in the restaurant industry. Why should I be guilt tripped into tipping a person who gives me mediocre service? Tipping should be made illegal.
Tipping should be optional. As a hairstylist I never look forward for tip from my clients, that’s not my priority. I never know the person financial situation, maybe they just have enough to pay for the coast of their hair. For example notice for the past two years or so fresher restaurant the tip option on their debit machine. I walk in to pickup my salad and walk out why do I have to tip you? That’s crazy! The owner of these businesses need to pay their employees more and don’t expect it from the customers. The will loose business that way instead.
Government needs to change quite a few criminal laws, stiffen penalties and, and modify the constitution making it a privilege to get citizenship and have a caveat that simply says to retain that citizenship you MUST respect and obey all laws. If you do no,t and are convicted of any criminal offense you LOSE ALL of your rights, your citizenship, and are automatically deported once you complete your sentence!
I got a beer and two shots and the sever asked if she was doing something wrong why I nvr gave her a tip. I Only been there twice and was feeling out the place and the first time she got a tip. I’m not tipping anyone. You ain’t doing anything but giving me a drink 🤭 we should all go to mc Donald’s and start tipping. 😑
This can’t be all there is to the incessant car theft reports. Are insurance companies paying? How is a recipient of a stolen vehicle registering & insuring (it)? This car theft theme seems like a smokescreen tbh. Sooo many ppl have cameras…at properties, residences, in vehicles…. I feel like calling BS
