  • Couple years ago Hershey had a huge problem with the candy kisses. When unwrapped, nearly all of them were missing that iconic point on top. Most were malformed and had a hollow crater where the point should have been. The others were broken off before being wrapped. Maybe a result of part of the process being moved out of country. Took a while to get it set up properly again.

  • I watched an old article vs a new of Hershey production. Instead of squeezing out little dollops of chocolate, they are now more runny and extruded into kiss shaped molds. I always wondered why they were so perfect on the tips, and the bottoms have a sharp edge Instead of a curve. It’s from cooling upside down :0

  • I’ve been buying kisses for over 3 decades (I’m from Philadelphia visited the plant as a child) I wrote the company and asked for any samples, coupons etc. they said no informed me to shop on-line for coupons. I use to buy every month not anymore. This is the only company I’ve asked for coupons, or samples and they declined. Oh well, I have the power with my dollars so I buy another brand of chocolate (Chadbury fruit and nut) from the UK and it’s just as good many think better. I wrote them and asked for samples, received samples and two coupons. I guess Hershey is saying they don’t need my money, I say I don’t need there kisses either.
